* PLEASE NOTE: The report "could" contain "Pirate/SLIM" operations or more likely a "BUSTED CALLSIGN". As always, you never know - "Work First Worry Later" (WFWL).

3A, MONACO. Operators Gerry/IZ1DSH, Giovanni/IK1WEG and Riccardo/IZ1GDB will be active as 3A/IZ1DSH, 3A/IK1WEG and 3A/IZ1GDB from July 16-18th. Activity will be on 40-10 meters CW/SSB. QSL to the operator's home callsign, direct or via the bureau.

4U1, UNITED NATIONS HQ. Dmitri, N2OW, was once again active during the past weekend. This time he was active on RTTY (a rare catch!). Remember to QSL via HB9BOU.

4X, ISRAEL. Aharon, 4X1FQ, has been active on 17 meters CW/SSB lately. Look for him as early as 2100z or as late as 0500z. QSL via AA4V.

5A, LIBYA. Andy, DJ7IK, informs OPDX that there is a newly licensed operator in 5A-land. Start to look for Ali, 5A3A, a former operator of 5A1A, now operating with his own callsign.

FO, FRENCH POLYNESIA (IOTA Op). Jean Michel, F6AJA, informs OPDX that Alain, FO5RH, is active from Tuamotu Islands (IOTA OC-066). If he can find a plane, he will try to go to Reao Island (IOTA OC-238). Also, he will try to be active from different islands in the Tuamotu archipelago group. He hopes to activate Pukapuka (OC-062) and maybe Napuka (OC-094). He will be on 80-6 meters, mostly on CW and also on 14260 kHz. There are no more details about the dates!

FP, ST. PIERRE AND MIQUELON. Look for FP/VE7SV to be active from Miquelon Island (IOTA NA-032) between October 23rd to November 2nd, inclusive. This will include participation in the CQWW SSB Contest -- in the M2 category. Operations will be on 160-6 meters including the WARC bands -- CW and SSB only at this point in the planning process. Additional modes may be added. Suggested frequencies are:

The idea of an expedition to St. Pierre & Miquelon has been on the minds of Team Canada members Dale/VE7SV and Andy/VE7AHA since their return from the 2002 WRTC in Finland. From VE7-land, St. Pierre & Miquelon seems a good balance between its rarity for the worldwide ham community and the relative ease of transport and setup to deliver the operation. A 9-member team has now been selected, and all participants are members of the internationally well known British Columbia DX Club (BCDX). Team members include: Dale/VE7SV, Andy/VE7AHA, Jason/VE7AG, Lee/VE7CC, Steve/VE7CT, Dave/VE7VR, Paul/VA7NT, Dick/N7RO, Ramon/XE1KK and Paul/VE7AVV. Most team members bring tremendous experience from participation in previous DXpeditions on an international scale. Others, however, are newcomers who will get a taste of what drives the engine of success from the action side of the DXpedition radio. While the primary objective of the Team will be to achieve a high QSO total for the DXpedition, their parallel objective is to give FP/VE7SV to as many locations as possible. The team will have operational blocks of time set aside specifically for JA, VK, ZL and the Pacific -- as well as other areas where working FP as a new one is particularly challenging. In the remaining months of lead time till the Team departs the west coast, everyone is working on equipment planning and deployment preparation process. Major equipment sponsors for the DXpedition are being secured, but individual or Club donations would be gratefully received. Please check their Web site if you're interested in supporting the Team. QSL INFO AND NEWS....................

SJ9, MOROKULEN PEACE REPUBLIC (Interesting Operation of the Week!). OPDX was informed that the Norsk Radio Relae Liga, LG5LG, will be active as SJ9WL on 14277 kHz between July 27th and August 9th from Fredsriket Morokulen (Morokulen Peace Replic). We have been told that this is a little republic located between the borders of Sweden and Norway. It was founded to honor the peace between the two countries. QSL via PP5ASN.

SPECIAL EVENT. During the next "27th Jazz in Marciac Festival" (South France, near Toulouse), look for special event station TM5JIM to be activated by the Gers Department area Hams from August 1-15th. Activity will be on CW/SSB on 80/40/20 meters, on HF and on 144 and 432 MHz. QSL via F6DJB by the REF Bureau or direct to: Claude Bonne, Garderes 3 Vallees, F-32230 Monlezun, France. For direct QSLing, please use a SAE and 1 IRC (or 1 USD for Europe or 2 USD outside of Europe).

ST, SUDAN (Update/Correction). Last week in OPDX.665 there was a typo listed for Michael's, ST2DX, QSL Manager. Actually, it was listed wrong twice (first as PA7M and then PA7FN). The correct callsign for Dennis is PA7FM (the eyes are going or maybe the keyboard is being uncooperative). Anyway, Michael, ST2DX, was heard this past week on 17/15/10/6 meters. Watch 18140 kHz between 1520-1545z, 21030 kHz after 1615z, 28430 kHz after 1730z and 50110 kHz between 1545-1730z. Remember he is leaving the country on Saturday the 10th of July, so his last day of activity prbably will be on the 9th. His online log and also real audio of the recent 6m openings can be found on the following Web page at: http://www.pa7fm.nl QSL to PA7FM (direct cards from outside EU with 2 USD or 1 IRC).

TO4, MARTINIQUE. Jim, N6TJ, will be active as TO4A during the CQ WW DX CW Contest in November as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. He will be operating from FM5BH's QTH. QSL via VE3HO.

UK DX RTTY CONTEST. The Scottish-Russian ARS, who ran the UK DX CW Contest last weekend (June 25-26th), is honored to invite the radio amateurs all over the world to participate in the UK DX RTTY Contest (from 1200z, July 10th to 1200z, July 11th. For more details on the contest, please visit their Web page at: http://www.srars.org/ukdxc.htm

YA, AFGHANISTAN. Daniel, DL5SE, was quite active this past week, mainly on 17 meters CW, but there were also QSNs reported on 20/15/12 meters. It seems he is active between 1045-1400z and again at 0400-0730z. QSL via DL5SE.

YZ80, SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO. To celebrate 80 years of Amateur Radio in YU-land and the first ham radio activity (Radio club YU1AFS, 1924) look for HAMs in Serbia and Montenegro to use some special prefixes. Rodja, YZ1AA, is active already with the callsign YZ80A. QSL via his home callsign.
