TUVALU, T2. Members of the Yamato ARC will be active from April 25 to May 1. Look for T22JY/JA1JQY, T22KJ/JA1KJW, T22KT/JA3MCA and T22VE/JA8VE on 160 through 6 meters, SSB and CW. QSL via home calls.

FIJI, 3D2. Following their stint on Tuvalu, the Yamato group will be active as 3D2HI/JA1KJW, 3D2KZ/JA8VE, 3D2SH/JA1JQY and 3D2TK/JA3MCA on May 2 and 3. Check 160 through 10 meters, same frequencies as during the Tuvalu operation, but no 6 meters.

LORD HOWE ISLAND, VK9. Paul, N0AH, will operate VK9LZ from April 25 to 30, concentrating on the newer bands. QSL via home call.

SAINT PAUL ISLAND, CY9. Dan, K8RF, Geoff, W0CG and Ken, WA9S will begin operations on May 28, including a Multi-Single entry in the CQ WPX CW Contest May 30 and 31, using the callsign CY9/K8RF during the contest. Individual operators will use callsign/CY9 outside the contest. They plan to concentrate on 160, 80, 40 and the newer bands before and after the Contest. QSL via operators home calls.

MARQUESAS ISLANDS (French Polynesia), FO. Bob, W6RJ and his son Bob, W6KR, will be active until April 28 as FO0FR from Nuku Hiva Island. Activity is on CW and SSB on 160 through 10 meters. This is a possible new DXCC entity. QSL via K6SLO.

SPECIAL EVENT STATION. A memorial S56 Guard Red banner submarine, located at the Russian Navy base in Vladivostok will take to the air waves April 25 and 26 for Submarine Memorial Radio Reactivation Day. Check 7040, 14240 and 21240 kHz for SSB and 7010, 14040 and 21040 kHz for CW. The callsign used may be RS56M. QSL and SWL reports go to RW0MM, P.O. Box 73, Vladivostok 690090, Russia.

CAMBODIA, XU. Harv, XUF2B, has been very active this past week on RTTY on 20 and 15 meters. Check around 14085 and 21085 kHz. QSL via N4JR.

BARBADOS, 8P. Baerbel, DL7UTO, and Bernd, DJ1TO, will operate until May 5 using the calls 8P9IU and 8P9IR. QSL via home calls.

Terry, VR6TY, reports that all amateur radio stations from Pitcairn Island will switch over to their new prefix, VP6, on May 1, 1998.
