UGANDA, 5X. Laurence, GM4DMA, is QRV until August 21 as 5X1LH. He operates mostly on 17 and 15 meters, with some 6 meter activity as well. QSL to home call.
KENYA, 5Z. 5Z4RL is QRV using SSTV. QSL via N2AU.
BARBADOS, 8P. 8P6QA is QRV using SSTV. QSL via KU9C.
AZORES, CU. CU4AH, CU5AV and CU7BC, will be QRV until August 19 as CU9A from Corvo Island, IOTA EU-089, Grid Square HM49LQ, on all HF bands. They will also be on 6 and 2 meters, 70 cm and 1.3 GHz ATV. QSL via operator's instructions.
TAJIKISTAN, EY. Nodir, EY8MM, is now QRV using SSTV. This is believed to be the first SSTV ever from EY. QSL via K1BV.
AMSTERDAM ISLAND, FT/Z. Bernard, FT5ZI, is now QRV using SSTV on 15 meters. QSL via F5PFP.
THAILAND, HS. HS9CA has been QRV on 15 meters using CW around 0000 to 0030z.
JAPAN, JA. Special Event station 8J1HAM will be QRV again in August from the Tokyo Ham Fair. Activity will include some SSTV. QSL via operator's instructions.
OGASAWARA ISLANDS, JD1. Look for Eiji, JQ1SUO, to be active until the morning of August 16. He will sign JQ1SUO/JD1 and will operate mainly on 20, 17 and 12 meters. QSL to home call.
GUAM, KH2. Dave, N2NL/KP2, can now be found on 160 meters. QSL via W2YC.
PAPUA NEW GUINEA, P2. P29KPH is QRV using SSB on 15 meters. His length of stay is unknown.
BENIN, TY. Sigi, TY1IJ, has been QRV on 20 meters around 2100z. QSL via DK8ZD.
MICRONESIA, V6. Peter, V63PD, is active from Chuuk Island, usually around 0100z on 30 meters. QSL via VK4AAR.
INDONESIA, YB. A group of ORARI members will be QRV until August 17 as YE1ZI from Ujung Kulon National Park located in the western tip of West Java. They will operate on 160 to 10 meters, using CW and SSB. QSL via YB0TK.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The ARRL 10 GHz and Up Cumulative Contest, The New Jersey QSO Party, North American Phone QSO Party, SARTG RTTY Contest, W/VE Islands Contest and the SEANET Phone Contest will certainly keep contesters busy this weekend. Please see August QST, page 105 for details.
