CHRISTMAS ISLAND, VK9X

Ken, JA1CMD/AD4WF, will sign VK9XH March 23, 24 and 25, operating CW and SSB on all bands. QSL via AD4WF or AE4EZ.


CHAGOS ISLANDS, VQ9

Ron, AA5DX, is active and signing VQ9DX. Check 7007 kHz at 1400z and 3507 kHz at 1500z. QSL VQ9DX via Ron Marra, Marginal 301C, La Rambla Suite 205, Ponce, PR 00731. Mike, KB7HO, will soon be signing VQ9HO, mainly on 20 meter SSB. Listen between 1300 and 1500z on 14140 kHz. Mike will listen from 14180 to 14190 kHz. He also plans to be on from the Chagos Club station signing VQ9IO. QSL via the W7 QSL bureau or direct to KB7HO.


JUAN DE NOVA ISLAND, FR

FR5DT/J was heard on 14122 kHz SSB between 1730 and 1815z. He may not be an experienced operator, so please be patient. QSL via Trans, BP 386, 97410 Ile de La Reunion, Via France.


CAMBODIA, XU

Mike, VS6WV, should be here until March 15. Plans are for an emphasis on 80 and 40 meters. East coast US stations try from 1130 to 1200z between 7007 and 7012 kHz, QSX up, and starting at 2230z on 3507 kHz, QSX up. US and European stations can try starting at 1300z on 3707 kHz, QSX up. Listen for his SSB on 14192 kHz from 1300 to 1330z.


MARION ISLAND

Chris, ZS5IR/ZS6RI, will sign ZS8IR starting early May through June or July 1997. He will operate 160 through 6 meters with CW, SSB and RTTY. Marion is IOTA number AF-021. QSL via ZS6EZ.


CAMEROON, TJ

TJ1AG is active daily with the African DX Net on 7065 kHz from 2000 to 2300z. QSL via F5RUQ.


CHAD, TT

DL7FT is active as TT8FT on all bands, including 160 meters, CW and SSB. He will be in Chad until March 9. QSL via DL7FT. TT8BP has been on the 14247 DX net at around 2100z. Also check 3800 kHz starting at 0445z. QSL via IK5JAN.


SRI LANKA, 4S

Mario, HB9BRM, will sign 4S7BRG March 9 to April 17. Check 14290 to 14320 kHz or 21270 to 21300 kHz at 1600z and either 3780 to 3800 kHz or 7040 to 7070 kHz from 1900 to 2100z. Mario will also be on AmTOR and PacTOR. QSL via HB9BRM.


EASTERN MALAYSIA, 9M8

DL3ABL and DL6MHW will be on the air from Sarawak March 14 to 25. The call signs to be used are unknown as of bulletin time. They will operate CW and SSB. Bands to be used, in order of preference, are 40, 20, 17, 30 and 80 meters. QSL via DL3ABL.


SAINT HELENA AND ASCENSION ISLANDS, ZD7 AND ZD8

Andy, G4ZVJ, will sign ZD7VJ from Saint Helena March 29 to April 12. He will operate CW only. Check 1827, 3503, 7003, 10107, 14027, 18077, 21027, 24897 and 28027 kHz, QSX up. He might be able to operate from Ascension Island as ZD8VJ April 16 to 23. QSL via G4ZVJ. His new address is 5 Thorpe Chase, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 1UA, England.


COMOROS, D6

Michel, FR5HG, has been active for nearly three months signing D68SE. If you need Comoros on 40 meter CW, try between 0230 and 0300z on about 7010 kHz. QSL via F6FNU.


NETHERLANDS ANTILLES, PJ

K2NG and K2TW will be active from Bonaire in the ARRL DX SSB contest signing PJ9G. QSL via WA2NHA.


GUANTANAMO BAY, KG4

Bill, KQ4GC, has requested the call KG4GC to use while operating March 8 to 14. He will be on all bands with SSB and RTTY. QSL via KQ4GC with SASE.


BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS, VP2V

John, KK9A, will be signing VP2V/KK9A through March 5. During the ARRL DX phone contest, he will operate on 20 meters. Before and after the contest, listen for him on 160 and 80 meters. QSL via KK9A.
