SPRATLY ISLANDS, 9M0. Jan, SM0OEK, in Malaysia signing 9M2JJ, is considering a DXpedition to Pulau Layang Layang, one of the Spratly group.
UGANDA, 5X. Due to security issues in northwest Uganda, Paul, 5X4F, left the country on April 25. He and XYL Peggy, 5X4G, will be stateside for about 4 months. They hope to return to Uganda this fall.
MALTA, 9H. Listen for DL2RUM as 9H3VP, DL7URH as 9H3VJO, DL7UTM as DL7UTM/9H3/VN, DL7IO as 9H3TY, and DL7IQ as 9H3TZ. 9H3 calls for DL7UEA and DL1YFF have yet to be issued. They plan be in the CQWW WPX CW contest May 26 and 27 from the Fanal Lighthouse on Gozo. QSL via DL7VRO.
SIERRA LEONE, 9L. Baldur, DJ6SI, is on the air as 9L/DJ6SI. Though usually operating CW, he has been heard on SSB.
WESTERN MALAYSIA, 9M2. Tex, 9M2TO, will be active from Penang Island, IOTA AS-015, for the CQWW WPX CW contest. QSL via the bureau to JA0DMV/JARL or direct.
MIDWAY ISLAND, KH4. Bill, NH6D, is going to Midway again, this time for at least a week. He leaves Hawaii late in the day May 16. Bill will be on all bands, CW, SSB and CW. Try 160 and 80 meters at around 5 PM Midway time. QSL via KL7H/6.
ALAND ISLANDS, OH0. DJ2PJ and DL5FF will sign OH0JWH and OH0JWL, respectively, June 7 to 14. This will be their second operation from the Aland group. They will joined by OH0/DL1ZBO and OH0/DL4FAN. Plans are for all HF bands, 50 MHz, CW, RTTY, SSB and an entry in the ANARTS Contest. 6-meter operations will be on 50.210 MHz. QSL OH0JWH and OI0JWH via DJ2PJ. QSL OH0JWL and OI0JWL via DL5FF. QSL all others via home calls.
MACAO, XX9. Martin, AA1ON/G4DZC, will visit Macao in mid-May while returning from business in Thailand and will try to get on the air.
ROMANIA, YO. Jean, F6AJA, will sign YO/F6AJA during his free time from May 20 to 25. He will operate from station YO8FZ.
CAYMAN ISLANDS, ZF. Mike, W5ZPA, will be on the air as ZF2PA May 19 to 25 from Grand Caymen Island. QSL via W5ZPA.
JAMAICA, 6Y. Theo, PA3ERL, will sign PA3ERL/6Y5 June 13 to 29. QSL via PA3ERL.
