BOUVET ISLAND, 3Y. At the Dayton HamVention, Luis, XE1L, reported that the South Sandwich Island DX Group, SSIDXG, are planning a full scale DXpedition for sometime in December 1997/January 1998.
LIBYA, 5A. 5A1A operations by Ukrainians and Libyan nationals have been approved for DXCC.
MALTA, 9H. Felix, DL8OBC, and Matthias, DL4OCL, will return to the Island of Gozo July 22 to August 9 and use the calls 9H3UD and 9H3UF. They will be on 80 to 10 meter CW and SSB. Some teleprinter and satellite operations might take place. QSL 9H3UD via DL8OBC, QSL 9H3UF via DL4OCL.
TAIWAN, BV. BO1/JP1RIW will be on the air from Ma-Tsu Islands, IOTA AS-113, May 31 to June 2. QSL via BV2KI.
PACIFIC DXPEDITION. Yuu, JA3IG, will activate two different islands over the next few weeks. Listen for A35IG until June 1 from Tonga, ZK2YY June 1 to 4 from Niue, and A35IG again June 5 and 6 from Tonga. Yuu operates mostly 40 and 20 meter CW. Try 7005 and 14025 kHz.
GREENLAND, OX. Attention 6 meter ops. Peter, OX3XR, is active on 50.110 MHz running 60 watts to a Yagi. He is located in Nuuk, grid square GP44dd.
DODECANESE, SV5. Manfred, DL8SET, will sign SV5/DL8SET from Rhodes June 6 to 20 on both HF and 6 meters. QSL direct or via the bureau to DL8SET.
SOUTHERN COOK ISLANDS, ZK1. Bruce, AA8U, Stan, K8MJZ, and Marilyn, AG8W, will be active from Rarotonga July 11 to 21. They will sign ZK1AAU in the IARU Contest, and ZK1MJZ and ZK1AGW outside of contest hours. QSL to AA8U.
MARION ISLAND, ZS8. A few reports indicate that Chris, ZS8IR, has been active. On May 21st, he was reported active on 3799 kHz around 1345z and 2100z. On May 18th, he was heard on 14195 kHz around 0700z. He will be there until June, 1997.
LIECHTENSTEIN, HB0. From July 14 to 27, DL1JBN, DL3JSW and DK5YY will be active on HF, while DG0JAG, DG0JS and DG0OKA will do VHF and satellites. VHF and satellites will be the main effort the first week with concentration on HF the second week.
MONACO, 3A. Ralf, DL3JSW, of the HB0 team mentioned earlier, will travel here July 14, and will try to obtain licenses for both 3A and Seborga.
BAHAMAS, C6. Robert, K4MQG, William, AA4R, and Ted, WA4VCC, will be on Grand Bahama Island June 7 to 14, and active on 6 and 2 meters, 70 cm and HF. Their station, with antennas atop a 3-story building located on the ocean shore, will be very active during the ARRL VHF Contest June 8, 9 and 10. Their grid square, FL06, has not been up on VHF for sometime.
