PACIFIC

FO - FRENCH POLYNESIA: After ZK1EHH Ed, K8VIR, is active now as FO0HAR until 23th June on Rangiroa OC066. QSL via K8VIR.

KH2 - GUAM: Gary, K9AW/KH2 (ex NH2G, KH2L, NY6M/KH2) will be leaving Guam in a few weeks and retiring to the Philippines. Gary was by far the most active HF operator on Guam having worked hundreds of thousands of stations on HF from Guam.

AFRICA

5X - UGANDA: Don, 5X1DK, is active in Kampala for 2 months. QSL via his homecall KD4UDU.

FR - TROMELIN: FR5ZU had to postpone his visit of Tromelin to late 1998.

AMERICA

CE0 - EASTER ISLAND: Ed Hartz, K8VIR, plans to be active from Easter Island SA001 on 24/25 June. QSL via homecall.

FP- ST PIERRE & MIQUELON: Mel, FP/W8MW, will be active 8 to 15 Jul.

HC - ECUADOR: Dr. Rich, NE8Z, will be on from several locations in Ecuador from 5 to 26 July on WARC-bands CW and SSB plus 20m RTTY. QSL via K8LJG.

KG4 - GUANTANAMO: Rusty, WV3N/KG4AU, Bill, W4WX/KG4GC, Vic, N4TO/KG4TO, and Doug, W4OX/KG4OX will be in Gtmo for the IARU-Championship Jul 8th to 15th. Before and after the contest they will be active on all modes and bands 6 to 160m. The contest call will be KG4OX. QSL via homecalls but KG4AU via W4WX via buro or with return postage.

VP5 - TURKS & CAICOS: After his activity in Mexico CX3AN will be joined by CX4CR Jul 18th-28th as VP5/ again on WARC, 40 and 80m from Caicos NA002. /// The week before George, VP5/N2GA, and Diane, VP5/K2OD are on Providenciales NA002 Jul 8th - 14th. In the IARU-Contest they will use VP5GA.

VP8 - FALKLAND: Carl, VP8/G4VFU/mm, is active from an oil rig and uses VP8CZJ when he is on land (Falkland Islands). QSL via G0HXL.

XE - MEXICO: Jul 9th - 13th XF3/CX3AN will start a Caribbean tour on Cozumel NA045 on WARC, 40 and 80m. QSL via CX3CE, Gustavo Sanchez, Box 244, Montevideo, Uruguay (Do NOT use CBA98!).

YS - SAN SALVADOR: The stations that used to be daily on 40m have moved to 14.165 MHz 0200Z to 0300Z due to the actual propagation. (See DXNL 1086).

ZF - CAYMAN: Joe, W6VNR (ex WA6VNR) will again be ZF2AH Jun 28th to Jul 7th. He will mostly be on CW on WARC-bands. QSL via W6VNR, also via buro.

ASIA

HS - THAILAND: Radio Amateurs in Thailand will get a new bandplan allowing access to the WARC bands and all modes for the first time. Ray, HS0/G3NOM, was just located in Lamphun for 1 week before heading to Bangkok. He plans to be in Thailand for a long time. QSL requests for all G3NOM operationsmay now go to Ray, POBox 1300, Nana, Bangkok 10112, Thailand.

EUROPE

3A - MONACO: Mike, 3A0FC, is in Monaco until Jun 26th. QSL via G4IUF.

GM - SCOTLAND/ORKNEY: G0NES, G7BXA, G7HSP and G4YQW will be on Burray EU009 Jul 5th - 12th as GS7UEG/p. QSL via G7DKX.

HB0 - LIECHTENSTEIN: The DL-Team in HB0/ is also on RS12 as HB0/DL4OCM until 26.Jun. QSLs preferred via bureau to the homecalls. DL1FDH and DL4OCM are also ok in any CB; DF6VI only CBA 98: Joerg Engelbrecht, Heeperholz 1, D-33719 Bielefeld.
