INFO

E3A30 was the call of G4OEP from Eritrea who made 283 QSOs in April.

ZL8RI The battle is over and the opinions about it are different. Due to bad conditions it became more difficult to work this DXpedition during the last days. There were only a few good openings which occured only in certain areas. It was very hard to work them with only 100 watts. Congratulations to those DXers who did it anyhow. The effect of this DXpedition on the European DXers will be seen in the next Most Wanted Countries List. Before this activity Kermadec was the number 5 most wanted country in Europe.

GDXF On May 4, 1996 the German DX Foundation was founded in Lampertheim by 12 active German DXers. The GDXF is an institution which, in addition to other big foundations, will support DXpeditions and our hobby DX in a special way. This support will be in a financial, personal and logistical manner. The president of the GDXF is DJ9ZB, the secretary is DK7NP, DF3UB is the treasurer and DL5IAR is the membership accountant. The Board of Directors which decides who will be supported and who not consists of DF3CB, DK8UH, DL1SDN, DL6ET and DL5IAR. This is a call to all DX enthusiasts: Become a member of the GDXF and the motto will be DX IS! More information via Rudi, DK7NP (Internet: rudi@blitz.de).
