(Dutch Amateur Radio Society), informs OPDX that on September 17th a large group of Dutch amateurs will leave for a combination holiday/DXpedition to the island of Malta (EU-023). A total of 26 operators, all with their own 9H3 callsigns, will join the party of 45 participants. Four of the ops are female operators. The whole team has been granted the special 9H0VRZ callsign. They plan to be active between September 18th and October 10th. Operations will be on 80-6 meters both SSB and CW. They will be active daily on the international DX frequencies +/- QRM. They also plan to run a daily updated log on InterNet. QSL Manager for 9H0VRZ is PA0JR, Andre van den Bos, Olof Palmelaan 5, 9649 BH MUNTENDAM, The Netherlands. CHARLIE, W0YG, IS HEADING TO AFRICA AGAIN! Charlie, W0YG, informs OPDX that he will be off again on September 1st for South Africa (ZS), Namibia (V5), Botswana (A2) and Zimbabwe (Z2). Even if he uses his ZS6YG callsign, cards must still be sent direct to W0YG. Cards sent to the ZS bureau cannot be answered. If a bureau card must be used, cards must go through the WF5E bureau system and not the ARRL Bureau.
