Dear fellow amateurs,

I wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with best health, much time for our hobby and many nice and interesting QSOs.

I want to say many thanks to Michael,DJ5AV, and Robert,DL7VOA, for translating and distributing the DX Newsletter via packet radio and the internet every week. Special thanks also to the DARC headquarters who print and mail out the paper issues. Last not least the biggest thanks are going to the radio amateurs out there who keep sending me information like DXpedition announcements or QSL routes throughout the year. Without this information the DX Newsletter would not exist. Unfortunately the lack of time does not allow me to answer every single e-mail.

May I wish something for next year?

Many DX activities could not be published because I received your announcements too late! Usually the DXNL is put together on Monday and sent to the DARC headquarters on Tuesday. Unfortunately I can not put in the information I am still missing on Sunday. This means that I need the appropriate information about 14 days before the first day of activity.

I receive information from radio amateurs from all over the world. This is working fine. Unfortunately some German amateurs have some hesitations to send me some information about their upcoming DXpeditions. I cannot under- stand this and thus I am appreciating any exceptions from that!

With great expectations I am looking forward to the new DX year.

Hoping for your co-operation,
vy 73 and best DX

from
Karlfried Henrichs, DL1EK
DXMB/DXNL editor
