DX Announcements

AFGHANISTAN, YA Henry, F6EAY, who is momentarily staying in Kabul got the callsign T6RF allocated. He is operating in PSK31 only. QSL via F6ITD.

AFRICA ROUNDTRIP 2004, 7P/3DA/C9 Dave, K4SV, and Neil, VA7DX, are on the road again between July 28 and Aug 17: Lesotho: Jul 29-Aug 6, Swaziland: Aug 7-11 and Mozambique from Aug 12-17. They are operating in CW/SSB/RTTY/digital modes on 160-10m, if the darklight conditions permit especially on the lowbands. They also plan to work MS and EME on 2m/6m with FSK441 and JT65, but please be patient with them they have not so much VHF experience. Like in the years before Dave is using the callsigns 7P8DA, 3DA0SV and C91DA and Neil is operating as 7P8NK, 3DA0WC and C91NK. CHAGOS ARCHIPELAGO, VQ9, AF-006 Larry, VQ9LA/N0QM, spent his holidays in the US and the Philippines. He was expected back on Diego Garcia for one more year on Jul 26. He plans to operate also on 160m and 30m. QSL via qrz.com.

CRETE, SV9, EU-015 Rolf, SV9/DL6ZFG/p, intends to work mostly in SSB and RTTY on 20m from Jul 27 until Aug 8. After Aug 1 he may show up also with the Olympic callsign J42004ZFG.

CROATIA, 9A, EU-170 9A/Z32FD is working from Pag Island since Aug 1. QSL via DJ0LZ, ONLY direct to his CBA, Ace Jevremov, Box 14, D-82378 Peissenberg, Germany. --- Laci, 9A/HA0HW, and Tomi, 9A/HA4DX, announced to hit the airwaves mostly in CW with little PSK31/RTTY/SSB on the HF bands from Krk Island (EU-136, IOCA CI-046) especially during the very early and very late hours of the days between Aug 2-12. QSLs via homecalls, direct or buro.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, HI Ralph, HI9/DL9MWG, is working mainly in CW between Jul 28 and Aug 16. QSL via bureau.

MALTA, 9H, EU-023 Jun, OE1ZKC (JH4RHF), is said to be QRV as 9H3RH in SSB/CW/RTTY/SSTV on 40-10m from Jul 25 until Aug 8. QSL via OE1ZKC.

REPUBLIC SOMALILAND, 6O Sam Voron, VK2BVS, is active again as 6O0A from Galkayo until Sep 30. He built up stations for the Radio Galkayo ARC and the Radio Daljir ARC to support the training of local radio amateurs. There are no QSL cards available for 6O0A. SCOTLAND, GM, EU-010 Dennis, M0LSB/MM0LSB, is momentarily staying on the Outer Hebrides and plans to activate ten different islands until Aug 18. Further information can be found at: http://www.gm3vlb.com

TONGA, A3 Christian, 3D2EA, hit the airwaves from Tonga as A35EA first, later with his new callsign A35DX and hopes to get the chance to activate Rotuma afterwards. Look for him on 20/40/17m until Jul 29. QSL via EB2AYV.

UGANDA, 5X Jay, K4ZLE, will be QRV mainly in CW (some PSK31) on the lowbands signing 5X2A during his spare time from Aug 3-21. QSL direct via K4ZLE.

USA, W, NA-055 Manfred, VA3RMF/W1, is working on 80/40/20m from Mount Desert Island between Jul 30 and Aug 2. QSL via VA3RMF, direct or via bureau.
