Solar activity declined this past week. There were no visible sunspots in the two days prior to the writing of this bulletin. Geomagnetic disturbances, as measured by the K and A indices were also up over the past few days. Solar flux is expected to rise gradually until around June 12, and then decline. There is also another disturbance predicted for around May 30.
Sunspot Numbers for May 18 through 24 were 56, 44, 34, 20, 13, 0 and 0, with a mean of 23.9. 10.7 cm flux was 91, 86, 80.8, 75.1, 70.8, 69 and 67, with a mean of 77.1.
The path projection for the WPX contest this weekend is to Germany from the center of the USA.
80 meters looks good around 0230-0300z, and 40 meters 0100z to 0430z. Check 30 meters from 2330z to 0730z, and 20 meters from 2130z to 0000z. and again around 0500z
