MISCELLANEOUS

7J1AYK/JD1 W5VSZ made 4095 QSOs during his trip to Ogasawara. 438 of them are in RTTY.

AH4/AH0W That superb expedition made 45% of their total of 15.000 QSOs with Europe (mostly on 20m) - during the minimum of the solar cycle!!!

FH-Mayotte The German crew consisting of DL3KDV, DL4XS and DL6ET was not able to fly from the Comores to Mayotte as planned. That is why they are still on the air as D68DV, D68ET, D68XS.

IOTA: DL2RNS and DL2VFR had to postpone their activity from Greifswalde Oie (EU-057). They had all the necessary paperwork in hand, but couldn't find a QTH for that time. The only possible locations are a sea rescue station and the house of a local nature conservancy organisation. The latter will open their house for ham radio from November 7 to 11.

IRC: German Postal Services have changed the way they handle Inter- national Reply Coupons. You can no longer exchange an IRC for DM 2.oo in stamps. IRCs now are sold for DM 3.oo and buy the postage for a normal letter, i.e. they are worth anything between DM 0.80 (postcard) or DM 3.00 (airmail letter). In a nutshell: 1 IRC = 1 letter

PA3CXC: After a few waiting days only direct QSLs for PA3CXC/ST0 have arrived. During John's upcoming absence, Jaco, PA3KDC, will take over the QSL chores. The logs for the April 1990 activity will be closed by the end of this year. Neil, KC4MJ, will handle cards for D2XX.
