ANTARCTICA

VP8A - ANTARCTICA New scientists are arriving at KC4AAC these days. The new operator is now Dave, N5WNB (formerly active as KC4AAF).


PACIFIC

OKKDXF Pacific trip OK1TN, OK1KT and OK1VD are planning activities from: FO0 - TAHITI: Feb 20-24, A35 - TONGA: Mar 4-14, 5W - WESTERN SAMOA: Mar 13-23 (?), KH8 - AMERICAN SAMOA: Mar (?) 3D2 - FIJI: Mar 23-Apr 1. They'll emphasize the WARC and lowbands. QSLs via OKDXF, Box 73, Bradlec, 293-06 Mlada Boleslav, Czech Rep.

FO - FRENCH POLYNESIA FO0BUS is active mostly in CW on 40/20/15m from Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine, Rangiroa and perhaps also from Tuamutu Island from Feb 9-14. QSL via W6MD.

KH6 - HAWAII W9RB/KH6 will be QRV on 10-40m from "Sea Q Maui" (OC-019) (also in the ARRL CW Contest) from Feb 16-21. - Al, NH7A, will be QRV again during the ARRL contests. QSL via N2AU.


AFRICA

3C - EQUATORIAL GUINEA Alan, 3C5I, shall be QRV already on 10/15/20m from Bioko (AF-010). Activities on the WARC bands will come in the future. QSL via Alan, Box 139082, Dallas, TX 75313, USA.

3X - GUINEA Steve, G0AEV, will be in Guinea for 15 weeks starting on Feb 16. He hopes to obtain a licence and wants to work on 6 and 10m first.

5N - NIGERIA Bogdan, 5N3CPR (ex 5N3/SP5XAR), is very active in the moment. QSL via SP5CPR, best via bureau.

TJ - CAMEROON Bob Ferrero, W6RJ, and his son Bob, W6KR, will be active as TJ1GB especially on 160m in the evenings/nights between Feb 15 and Mar 1. QSL via K6SLO (ex WA6SLO).


AMERICA

HR - HONDURAS HR6/KA2OIG is on the air from Morgan's Cay with 4 watts and a dipole on 30m from Feb 13-16. QSL via KA2OIG.

J6 - ST LUCIA Ted, K9IMM, and Carol, NS9L, will be on St. Lucia from Feb 15-23. Ted will participate in the ARRL CW Contest. QSL via WB9NOV.

KG4 - GUANTANAMO BAY Bill, W4WX/KG4GC, WV3N/KG4AU, K4QD/KG4QD, WA4OMS/KG4OS, KG4WD and KG4PK are QRV as KG4GC from NA-015 from Feb 13-20. Operations will include the ADRS WW RTTY WPX Contest (Feb 14/15). QSL direct via W4WX (Bill Gallier, 4094 Sandy Run Dr E, Middleburg, FL 32068, USA) or via bureau. After the contest they will use their own KG4 calls on all bands and modes. QSLs via homecalls. - W4ZYT/KG4ZK, NW3K/KG4CH and W4SD/KG4SD will be there also from Feb 17-24. During the ARRL CW Contest they'll sign KG4DZ (via W4SD) all other QSLs should be sent to their homecalls.

KP2 - US VIRGIN ISLANDS Larry, KE2VB, wants to participate in both ARRL SSB and CW Contest signing WP2Z from NA-106. WP2Z via KU9C, also via bureau.

P4 - ARUBA I2UIY, AI6V and W6OAT will be on the air as P40K, P4/I2UIY,P40V and P49V from mid February until mid March. They want to take part in the CW and SSB ARRL Contests and in the WWDX 160m SSB Contest.

VP5 - TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS K4LT, K8RF, KU8E, W8AV, W8TK, W9EFL, WA9S, W0CG, N8LGP, K8LJK and KC8BBE are QRV as VP5/homecall from Feb 14-28. To remember G3FXB they are using the call VP5FXB (QSL via W8AV) in the ARRL CW Test. QSLs via homecalls.

XE - MEXICO N5TU, N5RP, KZ5MM, W5MJ and XE2KB will be active as XA5T during the ARRL CW Contest.

WW RTTY WPX Contest: Feb 14, 0000 UTC till Feb 15, 2400 UTC. Bands: 10-80m. Work also your own country! Exchange: RST+QSO number.

ARRL DX Contest CW: Feb 21, 0000 UTC till Feb 22, 2400 UTC. Bands: 10-160m. Work: W/VE stations (except KH6/KL7). Exchange: RST+output (W/VE: state).
