ANTARCTICA

VP8 - ANTARCTICA LZ0A is active on 15-30m from Livingstone Island (AN-010). QSL via LZ1KDP.


PACIFIC

DU - PHILIPPINES John, K7DTS/DU1, is on retirement on Luzon (OC-042). QSL via bureau or via John Gibson, Barrio Salong, Calaca, Batangas, Philippines or to his daughter c/o Doris Wimer, 4295 Palm Avenue #11, La Mesa, CA 91941, USA (all callbook addresses are wrong).

FO0 - AUSTRALES ISLAND DL5XU shall be QRV as FO0XUU especially on the lowbands by Jan 15.

H44 - SOLOMON ISLANDS/H40 - TEMOTU Sigi, DK9FN, will be on the Solomons signing H44FN from Jan 24-27. Afterwards he will meet Bernhard, DL2GAC, on Pigeon Island (OC-065) which belongs to Temotu. Sigi will stay there until Feb 10 probably signing H40FN. The QSL will likely go via HA8FW, Mihaly Bela Szeged, Csongradi sgt. 122/A. 4/9, H-6724 Hungary.

ZL9 - CAMPBELL ISLAND The ZL9CI team wants to bring a new one to as many little pistols as possible. During the first four days the made 30.000 QSOs (about 50% in CW). Especially 30m has a good shot into all directions. Though the have to leave the island overnight they staid there for the first night due to bad weather and high risk. Now they intend to call for Europe in CW and SSB daily from 0630-0945 UTC. New TX frequencies on 30 and 160m are 10.106 and 1.826,5 kHz and their SSTV operation was called off. AFRICA

5N - NIGERIA Bogdan, SP3CPR/5N3CPR, will be on the air again by Feb 99. QSL direct via SP3CPR. My buro QSL was returned with: "no member".


AMERICA

C6 - BAHAMAS Don, KN4UG/C6A, is on Great Abaco (NA-080) until Jan 19 and plans to operate also in the SSB part of the NA-QSO Party from Jan 17-19. QSL via bureau or direct to: Don Namm, 103 Birkhaven Drive, Cary, NC 27511, USA. See also: http://www.qsl.net/kn4ug/.

CE0 - EASTER ISLAND CE0/JA7KXD, is on the air again in CW and SSB on 40-10m. The length of stay is not known. QSL via bureau to JA7KXD.

FY - FRENCH GUYANA Christian, F6BEN, hit the air waves as FY5DG on 20 and 40m. It is not known how long he will stay there.

HC8 - GALAPAGOS ISLANDS Paul, DL6FBK, is going to Ecuador on Jan 18 and hopes to become QRV from there. He wants to visit the shack of Henri, HC8KU, and plans to operate as HC8/DL6FBK/p in CW/SSB on 40/20/15/10m from Feb 4-9. QSO requests via e-mail to PMichel@t-online.de (till Jan 17), via ranch@accessinter.net (Jan 18-Feb 3) or via hschaefe@pa.ga.pro.ec while on HC8 (Feb 4-9).

PY0 - ST PETER AND ST PAUL ROCKS The ZY0SP/ZY0SX DXpedition was CANCELLED due to missing donations. All donations already made will be returned to their senders.


ASIA

4S7 - SRI LANKA Bob, ZL1RS, who just worked in Geneve is going to Sri Lanka for nine months starting on Jan 13. He hopes to be able to import an own radio. Usually the licensing procedures in Sri Lanka can take up to three months. QSL direct only via ZL1RS.

9N - NEPAL 9N7AR is on the air in CW and SSB on 40/15/12/10m. The length of stay is not known. QSL via JR8FEK.

EUROPE

T9 - BOSNIA-HERCEGOVINA During the last weeks Edin, T97M, was very active using the digital modes RTTY, AMTOR and PACTOR. QSL via K2PF.
