ANTARCTICA

VP8 - SOUTH SHETLANDS Ricardo, CE3HDI, is active as CE9R from the Chilean Base Teniente Rodolfo Marsh on King George Island (AN-010). Operation takes place in CW/SSB/RTTY/SSTV on all bands between March 24 and April 23.

VP8 - ANTARCTICA Philippe, FT5YG, is now active from Les Petrels (AN-017). QSL via F5LBL, Gerard Karpe, 629 Route de Montpellier, F-30800 Saint Gilles, France.

PACIFIC

9M6, 9M8 - EASTERN MALAYSIA Don, W4HQF, is QRV in SSB from Sabah from Apr 2-9. QSL via W4HQF. --- Hans, DF5UG, is QRV as 9M8QQ on 10-20m from Pulau Satang (OC-165). QSL via DF5UG.

T33 - BANABA ISLAND OK1RD, OK1RI und OK1TN hit the airwaves as T33RD between Mar 22 and Apr 1. While one station participated in the WPX SSB Contest the second one worked CW mostly on the WARC bands. QSL via OK1RD.

AFRICA

3B9 - RODRIGUES ISLAND The Midway Kure DX Foundation is on the air as 3B9R from AF-017 from Apr 1-11. Team members are Bruce Butler, W6OSP, Kimo Chun, KH7U, Jari Jussila, OH2BU, Victor Keller, XE1VIC, Jacky Mandary, 3B8CF, Garry Shapiro, NI6T, Ned Stearns, AA7A, Yuuji Yoshitani, JA3IG/K1NT, and team captain Frank Smith, AH0W/OH2LVG. 3B9R is QRV with nine HF stations on 6-160m (one for RTTY only). S0 - WESTERN SAHARA Ross, CN2UN, has now the call S07UN (DXNL 1133). QSL via ZP6CU. --- Arseli, EA2JG, plans to operate as S09A on all bands for two weeks starting on Mar 31. QSL direct only via EA2JG, Arseli Etxeguren, Barrena 6, E-01480 Luyando Alava, Spain.

TL - CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC Gianni, IZ1CQD, is QRV as TL8CG from Markounda from Apr 1-20. He works on 10/15/20/40m SSB with 100 watts, dipoles and solar panels. QSL via bureau to IZ1CQD or to Gianni Caretto, Via Angioira 42, I-10070 Coassolo-TO, Italy.

ZS8 - PRINCE EDWARD AND MARION ISLAND Deryck Yelverton, ZS6DE, is part of the 56th Weather and Biological Research Crew on AF-021. ZF - CAYMAN ISLANDS Bill, K5YG, is QRV as ZF2YG from NA-016 until Apr 5. QSL via K5YG.

5B4 - CYPRUS 5B4/F5SQM is QRV from AS-004 from Apr 1-6.

BY - CHINA The Beijing-Chaoyang-Nokia clubstation BY1DX hit the airwaves from a skyscraper in Beijing's business district first by mid March. Both foreign visitors and local radio hams shall be QRV regularly. Head of the clubstation is Chen Jia Zhuang, BG1CJZ. QSL via Martti Laine, OH2BH, Nuottaniementie 3D20, SF-02230 Espoo, Finland.

E4 - PALESTINE Peter, 4X/G3WQU, is in Bethlehem since 1975 and became now active as E4/G3WQU. He is QRV in CW only on 10-80m during the weekends for at least the next 2 years. QSL via RSGB buro or direct to Peter McKay, UNIFIL, Box 75, Nahariyya 22100, Israel.

JX - JAN MAYEN After staying there for 10 years (until April 16, 99) Einar, JX7DFA, will activate JX0LMJ (QSL via LA7DFA) on April 10/11. Annar, LA2KD, has all his Jan Mayen logs.

SV - GREECE The Greek coastal radio station "Athinai Radio" (SVA) will make his final CW activities in full duplex operation with ham stations on all April 1999 weekends from 0400 till 2100 UTC.
