9M6 - WESTERN MALAYSIA Peter, G4MJS, will be on the air as 9M6BAA on 6m and all HF bands from Oct 17-31. QSL via G4SHF.

FO - FRENCH POLYNESIA Joel, F5JJW, announced to operate again from different islands signing FO0SUC or FO/F5JJW from Mangareva (OC-063) Oct 10-18, from Moorea (OC-046) on Oct 18-22 and from Tikehau (OC-066) on Oct 22-26. KH0 - MARIANA ISLANDS Tsutomu, KH0/JA1VND, will be active from Saipan (OC-086) in SSB/CW on all bands from Oct 13-16. QSL via JARL bureau to JA1VND or direct to Tsutomu Horikoshi, 656 Yoshii, Yoshii, 370-2132 Japan.

KH5K - KINGMAN REEF The Motor Schooner Machias departs Honolulu on Oct 10, heading for Christmas Island in Kiribati, where more operators will come aboard. Pilotstations are: America: Bill Avery, K6GNX (k6gnx@telemetry.com), Europe/Afriva/Middle East: Klaus Wagner, DL1XX (dl1xx@gmx.de), Japan/Asia/Oceania: Takeshi Yoshida, JA3AAW (ja3aaw@sannet.ne.jp) and Dave Batcho, N5JHV (dbatcho@lascruces.com) for 6m. The call will be announced when operation begins. The activity will take place in CW on 1826.5,3503,7003,10103,14023,18073,21023,24893,28023,50105 kHz in SSB on 1826.5, 3795, 7065,14195,18145,21295,24945,28465,50105 kHz and in RTTY on 7043, 14083, 28083 kHz starting on Oct 18. ZK1/s - SOUTH COOK ISLANDS; A3 - TONGA From Oct 12-19 Angelo, I6BQI, will be on the air as ZK1BQI on +/- 1820, 3520, 7020, 10110, 14020, 18080, 21020, 24900 and 28020 kHz (SSB ONLY if requested). He will then go to Tonga where he intends to operate as A35BQ with emphasis put on Europe and the lowbands between Oct 22 and Nov 1. QSLs via I6BQI.

ZK1 - SOUTH and NORTH COOK ISLANDS Momentarily Michael, DL1MHM, is active from the station of ZK1DD on OC-083. Since his own radio broke he sees no possibility to become QRV from Mangaia from Oct 12-26. However he hopes to operate also from the station of a local HAM while staying on North Cook between Oct 28 and Nov 4. QSL via bureau to DL1MHM.

AFRICA

5V - TOGO The German team hit the airwaves as 5V7VJ (NOT 5V7DF like announced) using the same call Andy, G4ZVJ, aired before. So the new QSL route is: QSL for 5V7VJ via G4ZVJ for all QSOs until Sep 20, 2000 and QSL for 5V7VJ via DL7DF for all QSOs since Oct 4, 2000. Online logs are available at: http://www.qsl.net/dl7df/.

7Q - MALAWI Ely, IN3VZE, is on the air as 7Q7CE from Oct 7-24. QSL via bureau or CBA of IN3VZE.

E3 - ERITREA Chris, DL5NAM (DL5NAM@qsl.net), and Dieter, DF4RD (DF4RD@qsl.net), of the Bavarian Contest Club (http://www.Bavarian-Contest-Club.de) will hit the airwaves from Asmara between Oct 18 and Nov 1. They will operate in SSB/CW/RTTY/PSK31 on 6-160m including also the WWDX SSB Contest. Callsigns will be issued upon their arrival. FR - REUNION Bernard, F5XX, plans to work from the shack of FR5CD on AF-016 signing FR/F5XX or FR5/F5XX from Oct 11-13.

AMERICA

HP - PANAMA All nine call areas will be activated by 3E_PSK during the upcoming months. First activities will be 3E1PSK and 3E8PSK on 10/15/20/40m between Oct 4 and Nov 4. QSL for 3E1PSK via HP1EFR; QSL for 3E8PSK via HP8AJT.

PJ7 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES; FS - ST MARTIN Don Daso, K4ZA, and Roger Burt, N4ZC, will go to St Martin on Oct 16 to do some antenna work. They will be on the air as PJ8/K4ZA and PJ8/N4ZC mostly in CW on 12/17/30m until the WWDX SSB Contest. During the Contest they will be active as FS/K4ZA and PJ8/N4ZC from different islands. QSLs via homecalls.

V4 - ST CHRISTOPHER AND NEVIS; TI - COSTA RICA Conny, DL1DA, is QRV again as V47DA until Oct 14 and as DL1DA/TI7 from Oct 16-28. QSLs via bureau to DL1DA.

TI - COSTA RICA An American team is QRV from Quepos signing K4QFF/TI8 on all bands and especially via satellite from Oct 7-14. QSL via K4QFF.

ASIA

XW - LAOS Toni, Z21KD, finally got a license valid until Oct 30. He is now QRV in SSB on 20m and 10m signing XW4XJ. QSL direct ONLY via the CBA of Z21KD.

SOUTHEAST ASIA TRIP Being on a holiday trip Andy, G4ZVJ, will be on the air in CW from Vietnam (Oct 15-22), from Laos signing XU7AAV (Oct 23-26) and from the Philippines signing DU3/G4ZVJ (Oct 29-Nov 10). QSLs via G4ZVJ. Check also his website at http://www.qsl.net/g4zvj/.

EUROPE

CU - AZORES Since Baldur missed his flight to Tahiti he hit the airwaves as CU6/DJ6SI from Pico (EU-003), operating from the same island like Willi, CU6/DJ8CR. QSLs via homecalls, also via bureau.

SV9 - CRETE Roby, SV9/IZ3CYN, hits the airwaves from EU-015 in SSB on 10/15/20m from Oct 10-15. QSL via IZ3CYN.
