PACIFIC

KH8/5W/A3/KH6: Adriano, IK2GNW, will make a Pacific trip this year. He wants to be QRV with a 1 kW station, R7 vertical and wire antennas on 80m-10m and on 6m. The scheduled dates are:

KH8/IK2GNW (American Samoa) February 18-22
5W1NW (West Samoa) February 23-25
A35NW (Tonga) February 25-29
KH6/IK2GNW (Hawaii) March 1-3.
If you send your QSLs he requests different envelopes for different DXpedition calls.

ZK1 - COOK ISLANDS: Leo, K8PYD, and Paul, WT8S, are planning a stay on South Cook from February 17-24. They want to work in CW/RTTY and some SSB and try to hit the airwaves from North Cook, too. Leo writes that all visitors have three letters in the suffix and therefore their calls could be ZK1PYD and ZK1WTS. All QSLs for ZL7PYD were mailed via the bureau in January.

AFRICA

TU - COTE D'IVOIRE: A team consisting of G3SXW, G4FAM, K7GE, N7GE, N7BG and WB7SRW wants to become active as TU5A during the ARRL DX CW Contest (February 17-18). They hope to be QRV with individual TU calls before the contest (February 15-16). TU5A via W8AEF.

AMERICA

HK0 - SAN ANDRES: Bob, K1WGM, plans to take part in the ARRL CW Contest as HK0/K1WGM (mostly 160 meters). QSL via homecall.

ASIA

XY - MYANMAR XZ1A or XZ1R shall be the call of OH1MA, OH1RY, OH0XX and OH2BH from February 20-28. Rumours say that OH0XX and OH2BH will be QRV from North Korea some time in February. The Central Arizona DX Association plans another activity from this still very rare DXCC country using the call XZ1N from April 2-11. Team members are K5VT, KC5AYR, AB6ZV, AA7NO, AA7WP, KF7AY, N7WTU, WA7MTF, WA7LNW and WY7K as of yet. They plan to work simultaneously in CW/RTTY/SSB with three Kenwood FT-1000MP+PA, several yagis and verticals. QSL via KD7E. More information will follow.

INFO

5X Peter, ON6TT, will stay in Uganda with the UN World Food Program for six months up to two years. He will move around frequently to other African countries like 9X, 9U, 9Q, 5H, ST, ST0, T5, 5Z, E3, ET and tries to come on the air from most of them. This time he will have an amplifier, a R7 and his vertical for 80m/160m (perhaps also some yagis) with him. QSL via ON5NT.

BS7H Scarborough Reef is a new DXCC country. With 11-yes, 3-no and one abstention it was added as the 329th country to the DXCC Countries List based on the DXCC rule section II, point 2(a) (separation by water). Starting date for valid QSOs is January 1, 1995. QSLs may be sent to the ARRL not earlier than April 1, 1996.

T30DP/T31 was genuine. However this call has been misused by pirates several times. Bill, VK4FW (ex VK4CRR), announced the times and bands of the genuine activities:
