AMERICA

C6 - BAHAMAS Bill, KM1E, shall be active as C6AGN from Green Turtle Cay mostly on the WARC bands and 6m until July 12. QSL via KA1DIG.


ASIA

4S7 - SRI LANKA Once again Mario, HB9BRM, will visit his family in Ambalangoda about 80 km south of Colombo. He will be QRV again as 4S7BRG using a Kenwood TS140S, IC735 and dipoles between June 7 and September 2. Mario plans to work on 14270-320/21210-260 kHz starting at 1300 UTC and on 3790-3800/7045-70 kHz (1900/2000/2100 UTC). QSL via HB9BRM.

5B - CYPRUS Michael, DL5MX (ex DL5ARX, DARC WAE-AWARD manager), plans to be on the air as 5B4/DL5MX on 160m to 10m from July 18 until August 1. He intends also to participate in the IOTA Contest.


EUROPE

9H - MALTA Dieter, DL9GDB, will be active again as 9H3UT from Comino Island between May 25 and June 7. He plans to work on 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m using an AV5 vertical and a FT747. Dieter confirms all cards via the bureau. - Felix, DL8OBC, and Matthias, DL4OCL, will hit the airwaves signing 9H3UD and 9H3UF from Gozo Island from July 22 till August 9. They will work in CW and some SSB on 80m to 10m and per- haps also digital modes and via satellite. Dieter and Matthias both answer all cards 100% via their homecalls.

HB0 - LIECHTENSTEIN F6ELE and friends plan to be QRV from July 13-20. They intend to work with two stations simultaneously on 80m to 10m. - A German group will be active from July 14-27. DL1JBN, DL3JSW and DK5YY will activate the HF bands and DG0JAG, DG0JS and DG0OKA will work on the VHF bands and via satellite.

SV5 - DODECANES Dieter, DL9UDS, plans to be on the air during his holiday between June 20 and July 4. He will work in CW and SSB on 80 to 10 meters (especially on the WARC bands) and on 6 meters. QSL via DL9UDS (via bureau or direct).

3Y/Bouvet The South Sandwich Island DX Group (SSIDXG) announced at the Ham-Vention in Dayton that they plan to activate Bouvet Island some time around December 1997/January 1998.

BS7 Another DXpedition to Scarborough Reef could take place in October 1996 when the typhoon seasons ends.

HB9AMO is underway to a four months trip to the Republic South Africa. He will try to activate also some neighbouring countries.

IOTA OC-214 (VK6ISL, QSL via I1HYW) and OC-125 (8A5ITU, QSL via YC5BLG) are two new reference numbers for the IOTA award.
