Frosty states that they would like to have six operators this time (3 for CW and 3 for SSB). They would also like to try RTTY and more PSK on this trip. Also mentioned was 160/80/40/30 meters and a possibility of 2 and 6 meters EME. If interested in joining their team, please contact Frosty via E-mail at: frosty1@pdq.net.

An early summer meeting to discuss this project took place between Pertti/OH2PM, Jose/CU2CE, Jacinto/CU2AA, Fernando/CU2BV, Jose/CU2AP, Martti/OH2BH and Eduardo/CU2AF. Fernando/CU2BV is the Honorary Consul of Finland to the Azores while Jose/CU2CE is acting as a Coordinator for this season's activities. Adding to the group will be Toni/OH2UA, President of Contest Club Finland. The CU2A station was activated this past weekend by Pertti/OH2PM. Reports on the CU2A signal on various bands will be welcome and sent to Toni, OH2UA, at: oh2ua@oh2u.com. They also reported that a lot of bulky equipment was moved this past week from the previous Madeira Island site (CT3BH) thanks to the kind support of SATA Air Azores along with their captain CT3AV plus CT3AR, CT3EE, and CT3FJ. SteppIR is credited with antenna support for this project while HamRadio Solutions is providing a new SO2R controller adding to OH3QK station automation. Vertex Standard (Yaesu) will release folded full-color QSL cards for CU2A, and each QSO will be confirmed through the bureau or direct via OH2BH.
