FY, FRENCH GUIANA. Look for F1HAR, F5HRY, F5MZN, F5OIH, F6HLC, FY5FU, and FY5FY to be active as FY5KE for the next CQWW SSB as a Multi/Single entry.
IOTA NEWS................ (IOTA Contest July 28-29th)
SSB OP: EA2TV, EA4ATI, EA4ST, CT1EEB CW OP: EA1CA, EA4AHD, CT1CJJQSL CARDS via EA4URJ (via Bureau or direct). For more info, check the web site: http://www.ea4ahd.com/insua/
KH4, MIDWAY ISLAND. Tom, DL2RUM, informs OPDX to look for Rudi, KH4/DL7VFR, and Tom, KH4/DL2RUM, to be active from Midway from September 20-29th. Activity will be on 160-6 meters, CW,SSB and RTTY. QSL via their homecall. For further info, please see: http://www.qsl.net/dl2rum/
NH4, MIDWAY ISLAND. Ted, NH6YK, informs OPDX that he will sign NH4/NH6YK from Midway. He will be there for a short 3 day visit - he will be on the radio as time permits between 0700z August 2nd and 0400z August 5th. He will be working one of those days and "doing some pre-work-work on the other". As this is a short trip, SSB only, HF and 6m (10W, 5el yagi). QSL direct or Bureau to NH6YK. Ted states the following: "I hope to catch South Dakota :-) more of Africa, Europe, and Antarctica :-) and everyone else if the propagation is willing. Please be patient, Please listen carefully, please avoid calling when I'm asking for someone else. I can go 2-3+ per minute if you cooperate, though I enjoy talking to former island residents. BTW: I apologize for the delay in getting past cards out. Most QSOs are now on a computer logbook, and labels are underway. I hope to get my backlog done in the next month or so."
LIGHTHOUSE ACTIVITY............
PJ, SABA ISLAND. Kevin, KO4JY, informs OPDX that he will be active on Saba from August 13-18th on both CW and SSB 20, 15 and 10 meters. He may be on 40 meters if he has room for a dipole. He has applied for a local call but doesn't have much confidence he will get it in time. If not, he will sign PJ/KO4JY. His trip is mainly a dive trip, but he will try to get an hour or two in each day in the morning and evening. Kevin will be operating a FT-100D with either a R5, R8 or wire. He is undecided which antenna to take. When on CW, he will spend most of his time in the Extra band. Although he will give everyone a chance at least one day. For SSB, he will find a frequencies somewhere where everyone can work him.
