than two (2) callsigns sent at any one time (though there
are still those who will try to argue the point), and
speeds between 25 and 40 WPM, with received tones between
300Hz and 1kHz (not everyone zero beats your signal,
right?). Tom states, "Though I've not heard, it's my
guess that the KCDX Club will again offer some pretty
nice prizes to the top scoring ops, so come to
compete..."

Z2 QSL BUREAU. Don, G3BJ, announced the
following: "At the Zimbabwe Amateur Radio Society (ZARS)
council meeting held on May 3, 2004, ZARS took the
decision to close the Zimbabwe QSL Bureau. This is simply
due to the excessive cost of services that are now
prevalent in Zimbabwe. The main cost is for the posting
of cards to the various bureaus around the world. This is
coupled with a declining number of members such that
reasonable subscriptions can no longer support the costs
of running the bureau. ZARS has recommended to members
that QSL Managers be sought if they do not already have a
manager. A number have taken up the suggestion and
arrangements have been made. Member societies should note
this information and advise their QSL managers
accordingly."

Ken Holdom, ZL4HU (Group Organizer/Team Leader/QSL
Manager), member of the Kermadec DX Association, reports
the the issue of commemorative envelopes for the

DXpedition. The Kermadec DX Association has a small
limited supply of these envelopes left, and they are
anxious to find a good home for these amongst the very
finest of collectors, DXers, and others worldwide. They
are now selling these at the very modest sum of 10 USD
per envelope postage paid. If you are interested please
reply directly to: zl2hu@clear.net.nz

ZA, ALBANIA (Last week's news
from Albania by Martti, OH2BH). "Many noticed
ZA/OH2BH and ZA/OH2PM
signals bouncing in from Albania last week. Indeed, some
6000 QSOs were made--not only to please the Deserving but
also to remind us about our shared responsibility to help
those in need. This time, five stations were fully
equipped: ZA1BH, ZA1BS, ZA1DC, ZA1DJ and ZA1S. These
callsigns were launched into the battle and these fine
people made their first radio contact to the world. Their
signals reached all parts of the world with ease and also
many U.S stations were on hand to experience their first
day of operating. Radio equipment was donated by W3UR,
K9MM, G3TXF, EA2NO and OH2PM, but many more recently
licensed ZA hams are still in need of any gear to bring
more ZA signals to the bands and make the Albanians welcome
to this great passion of ours. You are welcome to join this
undertaking by making your old gear active from Albania.
Your contacts are K7JA c.margelli@vxstdusa.com,
N7NG n7ng@arrl.org and K9LA k9la@arrl.net. Or just meet
personally ZA1B, OH2BH, OH2PM, G3LQP and the above U.S
